It has come to the attention of the Roboda Community Association that individuals on behalf of a window company have been soliciting residents regarding the installation of new windows and offering free estimates. Part of their sales pitch indicates that they have been approved to install windows in Roboda.
First, soliciting is not permitted in Roboda and it would benefit the entire community for you to make that known to individuals coming to your door conducting any form of solicitation.
Secondly, the Association has not and will not pre-approve any contractor to conduct work in Roboda. Even if a contractor suggests they have previously received approval to do similar work for other homeowners, this previous approval does not extend to work on any other home or guarantee approval for the work on any other home.
Please remember that prior to making any exterior change to your home, you are required to comply with the Association’s product and installation specifications and obtain approval from the Association's Board of Directors following the review and recommendation of the Architectural Committee. Do not initiate any work without first submitting a request to the Architectural Committee and receiving approval from the Association's Board of Directors. In regard to the installation of windows, only Pella windows (fiberglass, wood or aluminum clad) are approved for installation. Vinyl windows of any kind, because they can not be reliably painted, are not permitted to be installed. All approved Pella windows can be purchased and installed via Pella windows, Lowes or a private contractor.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a member of the Association’s Board of Directors.
